Summary

She’s a believer in lost causes。

He just hopes she can believe in him。

Morgan Westcott is watching her dream slip away。 Burned in love and with no family left to lean on, she is trying to build an equine therapy program from scratch in her little hometown。 But help is hard to come by, funding is running low, and the writing is on the wall。

Cody Haskins finally has his dream job。 He’s risen to become one of the top cow horse trainers in the nation, and now he’s riding for the famous Walker Ranch Brand—the family that took him in when he was a kid。 But he’s got a hole in his heart, a chip on his shoulder, and a hankering for the one thing that’s always slipped through his fingers。

When Cody and Morgan team up to save a lost cause, it’s more than horses that get a fresh start。 Trust and respect begin to grow, but old wounds are slow to heal。 Will the disappointments of their pasts keep repeating themselves? Or can two people who never belonged anywhere else find a home together?

This was a sweet romance chock full of misunderstandings between our hero and heroine, but in a nice twist, they actually weren’t due to anyone acting like an idiot or withholding information。 The main and side characters were all realistic and likeable, the plot(s) believable, and the setting inspired me enough to buy tickets to my first rodeo!I received an ARC for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily。

A strong sign of a good book is that you stayed up until 1am to finish it because you just couldn't wait to see what happened。 This was interesting for me because I absolutely loved Cody and the side characters but Morgan drove me crazy。 It didn't make me like the book or the story any less though。 I just found her ability to jump to conclusions so quickly and with very little to go on when it came to Cody frustrating。The story was well written and moved smoothly。 I enjoyed that there weren't an A strong sign of a good book is that you stayed up until 1am to finish it because you just couldn't wait to see what happened。 This was interesting for me because I absolutely loved Cody and the side characters but Morgan drove me crazy。 It didn't make me like the book or the story any less though。 I just found her ability to jump to conclusions so quickly and with very little to go on when it came to Cody frustrating。The story was well written and moved smoothly。 I enjoyed that there weren't any points that really dragged and made me want to skip。 。。。more
